F.A.Q.

So you're thinking of coming to our church sometime but you aren't sure of what it's going to be like. No problem. If this doesn't answer your questions about HUBC please feel free to e-mail us at hubc@nb.aibn.com any time and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

What do you believe?

Click here to view our statement of faith and what our church's vision is.

How do I get there?

What should I wear?

We don't really care what you wear as long as it isn't offensive or indecent. Some people wear three piece suits to church while some wear jeans and a t-shirt.

What kinds of people go there?

All sorts of people come to our church. It doesn't matter to us if you are poor or rich, hurting or healthy. Anyone is welcome.

When are the Sunday services?

We have Sunday School Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. followed by the worship service at 10:45. Also, at 6:00 p.m. we have an evening worship service.

How long are the services?

The morning worship service usually ends around 12.

What else goes on during the week?

Visit our ministries and events pages for info on the many things that happen here at HUBC.

What organizations are you a part of?

We are part of the Atlantic Baptist Convention and the Hartland Area Ministerial.

Can I bring my kids?

Please do! We love children and put a great deal of importance on nurturing children in a kind and loving environment where they can grow in Christ. We have a children's time during the morning service, after which the children can go upstairs for Junior Church. You could also drop off your younger children in the nursery which is always supervised by nursery workers.

What is the cost?

Nothing! We are more interested in your relationship with God than your pocketbook.

What kind of music is there?

We try to have a blend of classic hymns and newer contemporary praise songs. We want everyone to be able to praise God in the way that suits them best. If you can play an instrument you could join a praise team or start your own.

Will I be able to meet anyone my age?

Most definitely. We have people at our church who are anywhere between less than 9 months to over 90 years.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

Our main floor is totally accessible but not the basement or the second floor. You don't have to worry about the basement or the second floor because most things at HUBC happen on the main floor.
